Vince and Stuart attend Phil's funeral... in the quiet village where he grew up. Phil had planned the whole event meticulously; it is gloriously tacky, and at the same time deeply depressing, especially in the face of Mrs. Delaney's bewilderment. Vince is nervous because Phil nominated him for the reading; the lines to Phil's favourite song, D.I.S.C.O. Stuart admits to having slept with Phil although not through choice. Stuarts eyes are also elsewhere during the ceremony.
At the wake Vince meets Phil's accountant Cameron Roberts and gets immersed in a painful, intense conversation with Mrs. Delaney. In her despair she is looking for something to blame and can't stop herself pointing to her son's sexuality.
Meanwhile back at school Nathan has other ideas on his mind in particular the guy sitting in front. He tentatively approaches his classmate Christian who he relives with a handjob. Pleased with himself, he is then suddenly destressed to see Christian and some lads bullying another school kid calling him a poof.
At home, his mother Janice finally confronts him about his sexuality. Not ready to tell his mum yet, Nathan rushes off in search of Stuart and ends up in Canal Street, eerily quiet during the day.
Stuart and Vince remove any incriminating evidence from Phil's house so his parents wouldn't be upset at anything they might find. Stuart teases Vince about Phil fancying him. Vince gets depressed about the shallowness of the gay lifestyle. Later they then drop in on Romy and Lisa and start pontificating over getting old and how there is nothing to stop them carrying on for ever.
Donna and Nathan's mum come looking for him in Canal Street. Not coping very well with this he tricks a club doorman in to giving him Bernard and Hazel's address and heads off. Nathan blags his way into staying with Vince's parents having lied about not being able to go home, threatening that if they don't let him stay, he'll leave for London and become a rent boy.
Vince's parents discuss going to see Nathan's parents. Vince doesn't see why he should have to go after all its "All Stuart's fault". Upstairs in Phil room, Nathan is confronted by Stuart. Unable to control their emotions they proceed to jerk each other off.
Nathan reappears downstairs and just dismisses Phil death saying he never really knew him which upets Vince. Vince feels overwhelmed by the day's events and leaves the house seeking his own space. He is pursued by Stuart who tells him to get into the car and stop being silly. The episode ends with Vince running off into the distance.
"Can you believe it, they have toilets where no-one's ever had sex!"
