Folk is certainly a departure form Aidan's last screen performance,
reprising his lead stage role for Jez Butterworth's film version
of his last play Mojo. Its hare to imagine a more macho film",
he laughs. In fact the screenplay is lighter than his previous
work, which includes Some Mother's Son and The lonely Passion
of Judith Hearne and Aidan is quite clear about why he chose
to do it: "I think the writing is absolutely fantastic - brilliant"
